My Dream Wedding

Just realized that my blog is about much more than just antiques though that has been my primary focus thus far. I'm not exactly sure how to show images that I don't own properly, but I will start by mentioning that these pics are not mine I just found them online and saved them. I will, however,  give you whatever info I do have on them. Big Fun!! So here we go!
Ok! I'll start with the dress! it is a Lazaro wedding dress. I first spotted it in the background of the television show Say Yes to the Dress  . Im not typically drawn to the sweetheart neckline for a wedding dress. Im of the mind that a bride should be more romantic than sexy, but this is the one for me. I love the beading and the way that it falls reminds me of the Badgley Mischka's that I saw on the Style channel as a kid.

The train totally makes the dress.

I love this look for the groom. I like the historical quality. I realize that its a bit informal. I think a different jacket would be great , with tails, but something very similar and if the groom were Scottish  and looked like Hans Matheson that would be great too!

I love this dress for the bridesmaids. Amanda Bynes looks very nice in it. I want my wedding to have a midsummer nights dream theme and I think this dress is perfect.

Location! Ok! Two scenarios One is a small intimate affair in a rustic stone walled room lined with candles. This exactly with about 25-50 guests.
And an outdoor reception lit with candles hanging from trees
The other which is actually my best case scenario is this! With staged trees in an auditorium with a proper stage. The wedding will take place on the stage and afterwards dinner will be served as a theater troupe performs A Midsummer Nights Dream.

I dream of an evening wedding and afterward  fire eaters and/or a spectacular pyrotechnics display. Fireworks! Big Fireworks!

For after dinner entertainment, with desert fire eaters and dancing girls! (And boys!)

Oak Rocking Chair and Sideboard

I love these two pieces! They are both oak. I found the sideboard at a garage sale in Farmington Hills and the rocker at a thrift store. My plan is to change the top of the sideboard to marble and possibly change the drawer pulls as well. For the rocker I plan to reupholster in a soft feminine fabric and to use the two in a nursery one day. (Fingers crossed. I need to actually meet someone first. Hey! If you know any great guys....:) )

Antique Brass Fireplace Screen

You know I have wanted one of these for years, long before I ever saw one open and knew what it was. Then my father pointed out tha there is a peacock face in the handle. I love this thing! Got it at a Boston Edison Estate sale.

Completed Anchor Hocking Moonstone Set

Yay! My collection is pretty much complete! I have 6 sherbert glasses, 6 water goblets, 6 tea cups, 6 leaf shaped dishes, 6 saucers, 6 luncheon plates, 6 sandwich plates, 6 bowls, 3 large serving bowls, 2 divided relish plates,a pair of candle holders, 1 three part relish, 1 covered candy dish, 2 covered puff boxes, 1 creamer, 1 sugar, and 2 ruffled handled dishes. I have plans to expand the set to serve 10 or 12 later. I also believe that there maybe 2 sets of bowls that I don't have yet which I am looking out for, a medium sized ruffled edge bowl  measuring about 7-8" and a smooth edge bowl as well. I haven't ever seen those in person but I'm pretty sure that I have online.
Wasn't sure what was the best cloth to use but this one is new and a really great blue.

Picked the flowers this morning! Fresh strawberries are coming soon!
