Find of the Day! Antique 17th-18th Century Tapestry!

This was my find of the day from the Boston Edison sale. It was labeled Antique-Relic-Rough and is it ever! Im guessing 17th or 18th century and I found that they did hand paint tapestries aside from needle point back then. It is split in half with some worn spots here and there, but so incredible. Im so excited! I have noting to rival it in age. It is hand painted on a heavy linen. I would love more info on this one but its tough finding much out there. If you happen to know anything about this piece please comment.

My Great Finds Antiquing At The Boston Edison Attic Sale!

What a cache! I really am happy with the treasures I scavenged from the Boston Edison Attic Sale this year. The sale was on August 9th and 10th and spanned the immense area of the historical streets of Boston, Edison, Chicago and Longfellow. Tree lined boulevards boasting turn of the century mansions are reason enough to find me wandering those streets but throw in incredible deals on spectacular lovelies and neither rain nor sleet nor dark of night would keep from those rounds! If any of it looks interesting checkout my etsy store. I'll be posting slowly but surely www.etsy.com/shop/BelleHeleneHome

Ooooo! Look what Santa left me!!!!!

Two Antique Tapestries, one vintage, a complete crystal chandelier, Victorian Gesso mirror, Antique lace and fabrics,

French Tole light fixture, pair of Tole sconces, a Venitian glass valance,

An antique oil painting, vintage wool needlepoint squares, vintage madonna and child print, art nouveau powder box

Antique Italian velvet bedspread

This one is truly amazing! I'll give it its own post as find of the day!
